Salah is the first Egyptian to score in a European Cup final.

Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko was called for a handball in the area when Sadio Mane’s pass hit his chest and arm.

Liverpool is seeking its sixth European Cup after losing last year’s final to Real Madrid.

This is Tottenham’s first #UCLfinal.

Desperate Liverpool and Tottenham fans are out-bidding one another to scalpers outside the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium to get into the sold-out Champions league final.

“I was negotiating with these guys for 2,000 euros, but some guy from Malaysia jumped in and offered 3,000,” said Richard Wall, a Liverpool fan. “It is frustrating, but we knew the risks were big when I and my mates decided to come.”

Brazilian tourist Alfredo Nunes says he paid 3,000 euros for a VIP ticket he gave to his son.

Klopp’s strange reaction to Mohamed Salah goal

LIVERPOOL made a dream start to their #UCLfinal clash with Tottenham and it prompted a strange reaction from Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool are looking to win their sixth European Cup this evening in Madrid with just Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs in their way.

And Klopp could not have imagined a better start with his team awarded a penalty inside the first minute.

Sadio Mane’s attempted shot from the edge of the box struck Moussa Sissoko’s arm and referee Damir Skomina pointed to the spot.

Up stepped Salah to smash the ball past Hugo Lloris with ease.

That sparked wild celebrations between the Reds players and those in the stands.

But a usually animated Klopp on the touchline was rather subdued.

The German barely cracked a smile or showed any emotion as everyone went wild inside the Wanda Metropolitano.

Meanwhile, former Spurs boss Martin Jol warned his old side NOT to have a bad start.

“Spurs have played against Liverpool so many times. Pochettino will watch those games again. He knows their strength. Their strength is Sadio Mane because of his speed and he will get down the side of Toby Alderweireld,” he said.

“Then there is Mohamed Salah. Roberto Firmino will drop into midfield and he will play against the number six of Spurs, whether that will be Harry Winks, Eric Dier or Moussa Sissoko.

“Salah plays on the right, but he will not defend. He will stay up front out wide and that’s why we should play with three at the back. Salah has been doing that for years and he scores so many goals because of it.

“Liverpool have a very good answer because if Salah stays up and out wide, he goes in and Wijnaldum will push on the right and that is how they play. That is why I would play with three at the back but who am I?

“Sometimes Spurs have to repair the damage and that is what I don’t like. You have to start well and not have to do everything in the second half. Do it from the start.”
