We all had a slip of tongue somewhere, sometime. Why we are targeting and punishing Musa Bihi alone for what happened in 1994s and exclude ourselves.

By Adan Duleh Elmi

Great thoughts speak only to those thoughtful minds, but great actions speak to all mankind. To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society. A man who never gone to school may steal from a freight, a car; But if he has a university education, he may steal the whole shipment.

The only time you really live fully is from thirty to sixty. The young are slaves to dreams; The old servants of regrets. Only the middle aged have all their five senses in the keeping of their wits. They get action. Seize the moment. Man of that age never intends to become an oyster. Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for the others? Intelligence plus character that is the goal of true education.

Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend. We must accept finite disappointment, but never to lose infinite hope. Mr. Sillanyo, please tell us the difference between a leader and a boss. I know that you dislike the truth and you want answer me. But let me tell you that.

The leader leads, and the boss drives. A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus. Even capitalism does not permit an even flow of economic resources to your close aide de camp. With your system, a small privileged few are rich beyond conscience, and almost all others are doomed to be poor at the same level. That is the way your system works. And since we know that the system will not change the rules, we are going to have to change the system.

Everyone must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness. As Somalilanders, we have all come from different mothers, but we are sailing in the same boat now. History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people. The things that will destroy Somaliland are prosperity at any price, peace at any cost, safety first instead of duty first.

Plus the love of lavish living of your special interest group, and the get rich quick theory of your regime. But remember! As money is like a rifle; Its usefulness depends on the character of those who possess it.

Mr. Sillanyo, if you couldn’t kick the person in the mask and responsible for your trouble, you wouldn’t sit there longer. Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far. Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools.

Dear reader, nowadays there is a loose talk concerning the reputation of Mujahid Musa Bihi Abdi. One of the front runners of our Salvation Army who has restored back our independence and freedom, our pride, our dignity, and our moral values. He is being badmouthed and hammered continuously by those diasporas who took the back seat during our days of doom and gloom. Those fair weather friends who fled the country, and now standing on his ground.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, and convenience; But where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. A friend in need is a friend indeed. Torturing him alone for what happened in the 1994s. Why we torture him alone and exclude ourselves? We all had a slip of tongue somewhere, sometime.

Why We Torture Musa, For What We Did All?Why we are targeting and punishing Musa Bihi alone for what happened in 1994s and exclude ourselves. Mr. Sillanyo, the fish starts to stink from the head. We must put the shoe on the right foot. That event is a stigma on all of us. There are only two forces in this World, the sword and the spirit. In the long run the sword will always be conquered by the spirit.

A leader is a dealer in hope. The battlefield is a scene of constant chaos. The winner will be the one who controls that chaos, both his own and the enemy. Mr. Sillanyo, as you believe there are only two forces that unite men; fear and interest. Religion is what keeps the poor like we do, from murdering the rich. I totally disagree with those who say, it is time for the pen. The time for the gun is finished. We want a leader who can fight with both, the pen and the gun. Because we are an oasis of peace surrounded by an ocean full of sharks, crocodiles and a thick forest full of wolves and chameleon parasites.

Referring to our present situation and the circumstances surrounding us. We can’t spare great heroes like Musa Bihi, in this age and time. That is why we can’t spare men with iron guts like Musa Bihi. According to the feeding information obtained from his subordinate colleagues. Musa Bihi is a perfect man for such a wild environment full of wild beasts and scaring ghosts.

By nature, he is calm, detached, clear-sighted, of unconscious courage in assuming responsibility. He gave an open run to his subordinates. His views were general, like his knowledge, and he worked by influence rather than by loud discretion. It is not easy to destroy his influence. He is like water or permeating oil. Creeping silently and insistently survived the conspiracy of all those underboss wolves surrounding Mr. Sillanyo.

Let every fool know whether he wishes us good or ill. That as a Somalilander, Musa Bihi is our hero who impressed both, his enemy and friends alike. A man with whom independent men could bear and rely on. As an offspring of a nine-generation chief of the Habar Jeclo, Tribe. Mr. Sillanyo, I beg you earnestly in a voice that can’t be ignored; To consider my case sympathetically, and not to stain the deep, brotherly relationship in between Habar Jeclo and Sa’ad Muse tribe. That is the last safety jacket and the parachute that we have for survival.

Previously you have destroyed the involuntary, unconditional, and platonic love of the Arab Tribe. Besides that, you have deserted the orphans of the SNM tigers with empty stomach, and buried alive the remanent of the SNM Tigers like Hassan Isse, Mohamed Hashi Elmi, Sahra Halgan, Abdisalam Yassein, Ibrahim Dhagawyne, Ahmed Mireh, Hassan Guure, Carab Dualeh, Abdi Ibrahim ( Jaale Diid ) and many others. As a result, now, they are sitting hand in chin, and not believing how unfaithfully, and miserable their people had treated them. Mr. Sillanyo, whom you want to attend your funeral ceremony? Don’t expect me to put a bunch of flowers on your Tomb grave.

President Roosevelt once said, “If we have done anything wrong, send your man to my man, and they can fix it up.” It was time, the president saw, for Government to ensure that no single entity in American life, not big business, not big labor was favored above any other group, and so he vowed to make the laws fair to all. Here he issues his famous Clarion Call: All I ask is a square deal for every man. Give him a fair chance to defend himself. Do not let him wrong anyone, and do not let him be wronged.

Dear Somalilanders, why we isolate Mujahid Musa Bihi Abdi for what happened in 1994s. Mujahid Musa, don’t beat about the bush, but you have to stand tall and say like

Suleiman the infidel: “ Usha Dhabanka, iyo Usha Dhinacaba, Ana Kugu Dhigay, Ada Se I Dhibay. To err is human, to forgive is divine.

On Friday, June 12, 1987, Ronald Reagan standing in front of the Berlin Wall that divided Germany into free and communist Sectors, spoke 2,703 words, of which only four words will forever be identified with his legacy. “ Mr. Gorbachove, “ he demanded. “ Tear Down This Wall. Mr. Sillanyo disperse those parrots surrounding you; and address the legitimate children of this country. Forget about those fair weather friends, who are busy in hoarding money and power, and face the genuine issues of your nation. The middle class is shrinking and collapsing. You close the gaps between those who have and those who have not.

You have to put the taxpayers’ money in their mouths. Some people are dining on the moon and swimming in the sky river; and some of the SNM veterans are eating the bugs.

Mr. Sillanyo, nobody cares about how much you know, until they know how much you care.
