Liverpool fans are not a happy bunch this morning as they believe the Football Association are trying to rob him of the Premier League golden boot.
The Egypt international appeared to aim a punch at Stoke Citydefender Bruno Martins Indi in their Premier League clash over the weekend, with the Metro reporting this would see him banned for three games if found guilty by an FA disciplinary panel.
Salah has been in sensational form for Liverpool this season, and is currently the Premier League’s leading scorer with 31 goals in 33 games.
That puts him five ahead of Tottenham’s Harry Kane in the running to in the golden boot, but there’s every chance he could be caught if he is forced to sit out the club’s final two matches of the campaign.
Liverpool fans are highly suspicious here as they feel this would be an overly harsh punishment designed to give Kane a better chance of finishing as top scorer…
Salah facing a ban for a punch in the air, but Hegazi punching Ings and slapping Salah goes unnoticed.
FA way too desperate to get Kane the golden boot.

I don’t buy into conspiracy theories, but if Salah gets done for this after the West Brom lad was let off for this exact thing *and* punching Ings last week, I think we can all abandon the idea that the FA doesn’t have favourites. #LFC https://t.co/m7D2Go6NBc

If Salah gets banned after Hegazi got away with actually punching Danny Ings last week then the FA are a joke

They’re going to ban Salah so Kane can win the golden boot. Qwhite interesting this one

Salah definitely getting a 3 match ban for 'aiming a punch' because Harry Kane needs to catch-up in the golden boot race pic.twitter.com/lgFyotpAvQ

Of course Salah will receive a ban. The FA want Kane to win the golden boot.

If Salah does get a 3 game ban, it wouldn't surprise, you just know that the FA want Kane to win the golden boot.
